Position: Division Order / Title Analyst

Description:

  • Oil & Gas Law Firm is searching for a Division Order & Title Analyst to help prepare & create oil & gas drilling and division order title opinions. Successful candidate will have a strong understanding of documents that effect, convey, or create oil & gas interests, including: deeds leases, leasehold/ORRI assignments, lease burden relationships, operating agreements, farmout agreements, payout provisions, participation agreements / Force pooling & elections;

Primary responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain oil & gas Division of Interest records by determining working interest and burdens associated with royalty and overriding royalty interests through analysis of title opinions, leasehold assignments, deeds, estate documents, oil & gas leases, and other instruments found in record title.
  • Create ownership / division of interest schedules based on record title ownership;
  • Review and analysis of agreements, opinions, plats, leases, contracts, poolings, etc.
  • Promote and maintain communication with clients, landmen, attorneys, and owners;
  • Research and resolve title issues and ownership discrepancies;
  • Review and respond to ownership inquiries;

Qualifications

  • Division Order, Revenue Accounting, or Lease Analyst Experience;
  • MS Office, specifically, Excel proficient;
  • Very Detail Oriented;
  • Advanced knowledge of contract limitations and relevant legal constraints;
  • Able to organize and process high volumes of documents in dynamic work environment;
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communications with the ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.

Owner Relations Call Center Agent

Position Summary

We are seeking candidates with oil and gas accounting/land experience to join our call center services team. Oildex provides owner and vendor relations call and email support services to several companies. These are typically work from home positions and all training/equipment is provided.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • ·         Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and clients.
  • ·         Ability to multi-task between several critical client situations at the same time
  • ·         Ability to professionally interface with clients over the phone or through email.
  • ·         Strong self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently or with a team. 
  • ·         Strong organizational skills, sets priorities and meets deadlines.
  • ·         Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • ·         Preferred Bilingual in Spanish/English

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • ·         Answer incoming owner relations call regarding various issues, including: revenue, land, division orders, JIB, A/R, and A&P.
  • ·         Log owner inquiries in a case tracking system and follow-up on outstanding unresolved inquiries.
  • ·         Responds promptly to companies needs and adds value by building relationships and trust through client interactions and manages difficult or emotional situations.

Skills/Experience:

  • ·         2-5 years of industry related experience and/or training in the field of revenue accounting and/or land, JIB, A/P, regulatory, marketing, or production.
  • ·         Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and various oil and gas software programs.

Education:

·         High School degree or equivalent
